The King of Random

The Droid Tots and I were staying cool this weekend by watching a bunch of YouTube videos, including most of Grant’s (and this one).

One of the random projects that The Droid Tots think I need to do is this DIY home theater. Grant says the cost is $5 (and it looks that way, too).

I’m not too sure about the picture quality, but this looks like a fun and easy project, especially for a late summer or early fall broadcast on the back lawn.

I’m going to try building one since Droid Tot 2 has a gigantic magnifying glass we can use. Worst case scenario, we can use the magnifying glass from this DIY home theater to burn some ants.

$30 (much better and less time consuming) solution:

1) Buy a chromecast
2) Plug into tv
3) stream to it in HD

I’m not opposed to Chromecast, and I think as far as quality goes, you’re probably right.

Except, I much prefer this method, if you’re going to substitute an option.

But for $5 (or less), it’s a win.
