You’ve heard about Google’s Project Glass, right? It’s the technology that puts a computer into a pair of semi-indestructible glasses. Just in case you’re not aware, here’s a video to whet your palate:

Now you want a pair, right?

Well, you can, if you’re creative and somewhat lucky. The folks at Project Glass are “looking for bold, creative individuals who want to join us and be a part of shaping the future of Glass.” This means you, maybe.

Google Glass

Here’s what you’ll need to do to have a shot at getting a pair:

  1. Be at least 18
  2. Live in the United States
  3. Visit the Project Glass site
  4. Read the rules and FAQs
  5. Post up to 3 statements (50 words or less) using the hashtag #ifihadglass, including pictures or videos, if desired, to answer the question, “What would you do if you had Glass?”
  6. Wish and hope that you’re one of chose few “Glass Explorers”

It’s not totally a drop in the bucket, and you’re not getting a free ride (“Explorers will each need to pre-order a Glass Explorer Edition for $1500 plus tax and attend a special pick-up experience, in person, in New York, San Francisco or Los Angeles.”), but for some lucky dude/dudette, this is going to be awesome.
