AV-Test.org published its list of the top anti-virus apps for the Android OS. Here’s a summation of the test standards:

During January 2013 we evaluated 22 mobile security products for Android using their default settings. We always used the most current version of all products for the testing. They were allowed to update themselves at any time and query their in-the-cloud services. We focused on malware detection and usability, including performance and false positives. Products had to demonstrate their capabilities using all components and protection layers.

Now, can you guess which app topped the list? Hint, it’s not Lookout or Bitdefender:

AV-Test Results

TrustGo: Mobile Security 1.3 achieved a perfect score in protection and usability. I’ve heard of TrustGo, but haven’t tested the app. This report makes me slightly more intrigued to test the product.
