Wired.com has this great post on the latest Siri-emulator to hit the Android Market.

The author, Christina Bonnington, has semi-glowing remarks to add about Evi:

If you’re looking for an intelligent way to do voice-powered search, Evi is a great tool. But if you’re hoping for a full, voice-controlled digital assistant that can access information from your calendar and contacts, Evi succumbs to the almighty Siri.

So, I thought I would try it to see whether this is a viable Android alternative for lawyers. Unfortunately, Evi is not even close. I tested the app on my Droid Bionic (figuring I’d most likely use it rather than my tablet) and here’s what I got:

Uh…oops. I thought the issue might be the fact I was using a Wi-Fi connection, so I disabled wireless:

Um, we’re still missing the mark. Maybe it was because the question was too hard?

The program still couldn’t find the largest retailer in the world, which is a 2 minute drive from my house.

So, while Evi searches for a network connection, I suggest you try one of the other proven Siri-imitators.
